Tiny Legs Tim (Tim De Graeve) on üks Belgia kaasaegse pärimusmuusika olulisemaid esindajaid.
Tiny Legs Timi stiil on värskendav segu fingerpickingust, Delta bluusist, shuffle’ist, kantrist, folgist, ragtime’ist jmt. Ta on teinud koostööd Pete Doherty, Richard Thompson’i, John Mayall’i, John Primer’i, Roland Van Campenhout’i ja paljude teistega.

Tiny Legs Tim (Tim De Graeve) is one of the most important names in the contemporary Belgian roots scene. He is a finger-picking virtuoso and talented slide guitarist with a recognizable sound. He’s also a good lyricist and a gifted songwriter with a strong feel for melody and clarity. Tim has an ever-growing collection of personal compositions based on his love for blues and roots music.

Tim has spent six years from his life in hospitals, fighting for his life. This has made his music and his message even more authentic. His work is deeply honest and his talent unmistakable.

Getting inspiration also from old black and white films, his album “Melodium Rag” was recorded with one take. There was no overdub nor computers used. It was recorded directly on tape with one microphone only: an authentic Ribbon Melodium from the 1950’s, which was also used by Edith Piaff and Django Reinhardt.

Tim’s style is a refreshing mixture of fingerpicking, Delta blues, shuffles, country, folk and rag time. He has played together with Pete Doherty, Richard Thompson, John Mayall, John Primer, Roland Van Campenhout etc.

“Tiny Legs Tim explores all corners of the blues; he knows it like the back of his hand. His weapons of choice are beautifully tempered guitar playing with a brutal side of slide, a pleasantly dreamy voice and a golden pen from which songs flow that you will start humming effortlessly after only listening once or twice.” – jazzism (NL)
