Very Cool Peopleon Riiast pärit, Läti kitarristi Elvijs Grafcovsi pooltasutatud džässi ja funk’iviljelev koosseis. Nende muusikas leidub elemente ka rokkmuusikast ja hip-hop’ist. Bänd on endale eesmärgiks võtnud täita oma muusikaga tantsupõrandad ja kõnetada erinevate muusikaeelistustega publikut.

Very Cool People’it hoiab koos kirg teha muusikat suures koosseisus ning soov panna oma energiaga liikuma kuulajate kehad ja mõtted. Nende viimane album „Heya Some Kind of Fish! We Don’t Know the Name of This Fish in English, but in Latvian it is Vimbas“ ilmus 2017. aastal. Sellelt võib leida mõjutusi nii eelpool nimetatud muusikastiilidest kui ka klezmer’ist,Balkani ja Läti folkmuusikast. Ansambel on oma tegutsemisaastate jooksul olnud kõigi oma albumitega nomineeritud mitmetele Läti Muusikaauhindadele kategooriates parim džässi, bluusi album, parim debüütalbum ning parim instrumentaalalbum.

Very Cool People is a jazz-funk band originated from Riga, Latvia and formed by guitarist Elvijs Grafcovs. Their music incorporates jazz, funk elements and influences from rock and hip-hop. Their goal is to fill dance floors and to influence audience with very different music preferences.

Their passion for doing something together and their wish to make people’s bodies and minds move with their energy is what keeps this group together. Their latest album

“Heya Some Kind of Fish! We Don’t Know the Name of This Fish in English, but in Latvian it is

Vimbas” was released in 2017. From that album you may find influences from previously named styles of music, and also from klezmer, Balkan and Latvian folk music. All of their albums have been nominated to Latvian Music Awards in different categories such as Best Jazz, Blues Album, Best Instrumental Album and Best Debut Album.
