Bob Margolin (USA)

Bostonist pärit Bob Margolin on legendaarne kitarrist, laulja ja laulukirjutaja. Aastal 1973 kutsus Muddy Waters ta oma bändi. Bob veetis 7 aastat Muddy paremal käel. Nad mängisid koos Grammy’sid võitnud albumitel ja kuulsustest pakatavatel kontsertidel, sealhulgas Martin Scorsese klassikalises linateoses “The Last Waltz

1980. aastal alustas Bob oma bändiga mööda ilma tuuritamist, andes kontserte mitmete tuntud bluusi- ja rokkmuusikamaailma tippudega. Ta on välja andnud 11 albumit plaadifirmade Powerhouse Records, Alligator, Blind Pig, Telarc ja Steady Rollin’ / VizzTone kaudu. Steady Rollin ‘/ VizzTone’i asutajaliikmena on Bob produtseerinud mitmeid ja figureerinud lugematute bluusiartistide albumitel. Lisaks on ta produtseerinud ja toimetanud Muddy Waters’i plaadi uusversioone koostöös Blue Sky Label’iga.

Aastal 2016 andis Bob välja oma hiljutise albumi “My Road”. See LP esitleb nii muusikaliselt kui ka isiklikult seda, kes ta on täna. Iga lugu leiab eelnevast ja ka tema varasemast muusikast erineva, uue nurga. Siin koonduvad tema 50- aasta pikkune bändimehe kogemus, bluusipärand ja isikutunnistus.

Bob on lisaks oma edukale muusikukarjäärile eeskujuks ja õpetajaks ka uutele tulevastele kitarrigeeniustele. Ta on välja andnud oma e-raamatu, kirjutanud ja osalenud õppematerjalide koostamises, videotes “Muddy Waters Guitar Style” ja New Chicago Blues Rhythm Guitar. Bob on mänginud mitmetel Grammy auhinnaga pärjatud albumitel, võitnud hulganisti W.C. Handy / Blues Music auhindu ning on Keeping the Blues Alive auhinna saaja.

Bob reisib ja annab kontserte maailma paikades, kuhu iganes tee teda viib.

Bob Margolin is a legendary Boston-born guitarist, singer-songwriter. In 1973 he was hired by Muddy Waters to join forces with him. Bob spent 7 years at Muddy’s right side, playing together on Grammy-winning albums and star-studded shows, including Martin Scorsese’s classic “The Last Waltz”.

In 1980 Bob started touring with his own band, doing special shows and guest appearances with many well-known artists from the blues and rock scene. He has released 11 of his own albums on Powerhouse Records, Alligator, Blind Pig, Telarc and Steady Rollin’/VizzTone. As a founding partner of Steady Rollin’/VizzTone, Bob has produced and performed on albums for countless blues artists. He has also produced and consulted on Muddy Waters’i reissues for the Blue Sky Label (Sony/ Legacy).

In 2016 Bob released his latest album “My Road”. This LP reveals musically and very personally who he is today. Each song takes a surprising turn from the others and also from his previous music. This breakthrough is informed by fifty years on bandstands, his blues music heritage and credentials.

In addition to his successful career as a musician, Bob is also role-model and a teacher for new upcoming guitar-geniuses. He has released an e-book, scripted and appeared in instructional videos “Muddy Waters Guitar Style” and a popular new “Chicago Blues Rhythm Guitar”. Bob has played on several Grammy-winning recordings, won numerous W.C. Handy/Blues Music Awards for his playing and producing and is a Keeping the Blues Alive Award recipient for Journalism.

He tours constantly all over the world, wherever his road takes him.
