Duke Robillard on USA päritolu bluusimuusik, kes aastal 1967 asutas koos pianisti Al Copley’ga bändi Roomful of Blues. Ta on ka kuulunud The Fabulous Thunderbirds koosseisu. Lisaks oma eelistatud muusikastiilile, bluusile, on Robillard mänginud palju ka jazzi, swingi ning rock’n roll’i. Ta on andnud kontserte maailma erinevates paikades koos Bob Dylaniga ning salvestanud koos paljude artistidega nagu Jimmy Witherspoon, Pinetop Perkins, Tom Waits jt. Ta on salvestanud suurepärase kitarriduettide albumi koos jazzilegendi Herb Ellis’iga ning teise jazzisaksofoni virtuoosi Scott Hamiltoniga. Duke on kitarrist, bändiliider, muusikakirjutaja, laulja, produtsent ning bluusimaailma legend.
The Blues Music Awards on Duke Robillardi nimetanud parimaks bluusikitarristiks neli korda järjest aastatel 2000-2004. See teeb temast teise selle autasuga enim tunnustatud kitarristi maailmas.
Viimase kümnendi jooksul on Duke saanud teisigi auhindu: aastatel 2001, 2002, 2003 võitis Robillard Canadian Maple Blues’i auhinna kui “parim rahvusvaheline bluusiartist”. 2004. aastal hinnati teda Blues Foundation’i tiitliga “aasta produtsent”. French Blues Association’i auhind “aasta album” 2002. aastal ning “aasta kitarrist” aastatel 1999 ja 2002.
2007. aastal nomineeriti Duke Robillard ka Grammy auhinnale plaadiga “Guitar Groove-a-rama”. Lisaks austati teda prestiižika Rhode Island Pell’i auhinnaga “tipptase kunstides”.
Duke esineb keskmiselt 250 päeval aastas tõestades sellega õhtust õhtusse, et tema andekus toob rahva teda kuulama, seda hindama ja selle järgi tantsima. Duke Robillard on kunstnik oma elu tipus.  New York Times on tema kohta kirjutanud: “Robillard on vapustava jõu ja originaalsusega muusik.”

Duke Robillard is an American blues musician, who co-founded the band Roomful of Blues with a pianist Al Copley in 1967. He has also been a member of The Fabulous Thunderbirds. In addition to his favourite blues music he is also experienced in jazz, swing, rock and roll. Toured with Bob Dylan he has also recorded with many artists such as Jimmy Witherspoon, Pinetop Perkins, Tom Waits etc. He has recorded a superb album of guitar duets with the jazz legend Herb Ellis and another with a jazz sax master Scott Hamilton.
He is a guitarist, bandleader, songwriter, singer, producer, session musician, a man who is a legend in the blues community.
The Blues Music Awards have named Duke Robillard “Best Blues Guitarist” four times from 2000 to 2004. That makes him the second most honored guitarist for that award! Other awards over the last decade include three Canadian Maple Blues Awards in 2001, 2002 and 2003 for “Best International Blues Artist,” the Blues Foundation’s “Producer of the Year” award in 2004, the French Blues Association’s “Album of the Year” award in 2002 (Living with the Blues) and “Guitarist of the Year” awards in 1999 and 2002. In 2007 Duke Robillard received a Grammy nomination for his “Guitar Groove-a-rama” record and was also honored with the prestigious Rhode Island Pell Award for “excellence in the arts”.
Duke is still performing approximately 250 days a year, proving night after night, that it is his true talent that is bringing people out to hear the music, appreciate it and dance to it. He is a complete artist at the height of his power. The New York Times: “Robillard is a soloist of stunning force and originality.”
